Michael left tons of unreleased songs, and a few months ago the biggest contract in music history was signed. It allowed them to make more Michael Jackson albums over the next few years, and it was enough music for like 7 more albums. All his fans online are divided. You have some who are totally boycotting it, and don’t think it’s right to release this stuff posthumously. And the others completely disagree, and are supporting it.
The problems with it are, he’s not around to adjust it how he wants it. His music, but it’s in the hands of the other people. It’s giving money to Sony, who screwed him over before. But on the other side…it’s still his music. If everyone bought it and it had a bunch of #1 hits like his other albums, wouldn’t that be good? If it didn’t sell well the media would tear him apart and write about how people don’t care about his music anymore.
In my opinion, all of the fans should just unite again and make it happen. They’re going to release this music no matter what we do so we might as well make the best of the situation…right?
Edit: I forgot to add, in his will he had it set up so any profit he was to make was to be split up between his kids, his Mother and his favorite charities. That’s a good reason to buy it.

Last week I read an article online about this woman in Virginia who was going on death row. She’s the first person to be given the death penalty in the United States in the past 5 years. She apparently hired people to kill her husband and step son to collect insurance money. The two hit men got put in prison for life and one of them commit suicide in jail. I’m still thinking about if their should be death penalty. Part of me says because she helped kill two people she should also be killed for it, but then I think it’s sort of hypocritical. Killing a person for killing a person? Is justice taking another life? Wouldn’t giving her life in prison be just as bad?
I’d like to hear what you think!

Last year I entered that youth photography competition at the New York State Fair and ended up not winning…or being an honorable mention. I had all kinds of trouble getting my entries back too, but that’s another story. I entered the picture of the bright yellow sunflower, and those icicles on the black fence. A lot of people told me to enter the black and white picture of an ace of spades card, but I decided against it.
This year I chose it though! I’ll give it a chance, I figured if everyone else liked it that much the judges will probably feel the same way. I hope they do anyway. There is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as 10 honorable mentions. I hope I have a chance and I’m not wasting my time and money. Here are my entries, wish me luck!

You might remember last year when my Dad and I did that 5k called Ryley’s Run? Raising money for them, and you get to do the walk (or run) with your dog and see all different rescues and stuff. We did that again last month on June 14th! It was a lot of fun, lots of dogs for Tipper to meet. The only problem was that it rained almost the whole walk, so we ended up leaving soon after we finished the walk instead of staying for contests and prizes. And like last year we came home with 2 bags full of free stuff! Dog treats, a t-shirt and a few other things that their sponsors donated.
Then on the 26th we did another walk (Paws in the Park) for our local humane society. This one we collected pledges for (thank you if you helped me out!!) and I ended up collecting $100 for them, reaching my goal. This one the weather was nicer and it was in a really nice park up around Albany. For this walk we stayed to watch the contests and prizes. Some lady raised like $2,000 and got two plane tickets to anywhere in the US on Southwest! If you ever get the chance to do a walk for any cause you should do it! Lots of fun, you get exercise and you help out.

I forgot to say…I’m moving on to 11th grade. One step closer to graduating. I had all my regents and finals and passed them all. Passed the ecommerce final with a 100%, I wish I could say that’s a hard task to accomplish but it’s really not. Did the best on biology of all my other exams. No more seeing that annoying principal for a while, or having to hear her unimportant, time wasting announcements in the middle of class. Time for summer vacation!!

June 13th, 2005: Michael Jackson finished his 574 day long trial and was found not guilty on all counts of child molestation. Tom Sneddon and Janet Arvizo went DOWN. I didn’t know much Michael Jackson msuic back in 5th grade but I do remember this day. I was in my room watching the live coverage on MTV waiting for the verdict, and my Dad was putting my air conditioner in.
There was so many happy fans outside that place while they read the verdict. There was even a lady who released a white dove whenever a not guilty was read. The gate and fence at Neverland was covered with letters for Michael. Here’s a video from that day..
Michael Jackson: Not Guilty
And one of how happy the fans were when they were driving back to Neverland, it’s almost like a senior skip day drive by!…

I neglected to let you know on May 24th that it was Smores’ birthday, but he turned 8! I made sure that today (6/13) I wouldn’t forget to blog that it is two of my guinea pigs gotcha days! I’ve now had Lita and Ashley for 4 years, which seems like such a long time. I was in 6th grade way back then! Happy Birthdays to those 3!

I watched Paranormal Activity last weekend! I had heard that it was one of the scariest movies of all time, and I do enjoy scary shows/movies as long as they’re not scary because they’re full of blood and guts. The only problem with this movie was, it wasn’t scary. At the end of the movie the girl was dragged out of bed ever so gently and down the stairs. Then you hear screaming, and footsteps coming back up the stairs and her boyfriend is thrown at the wall. And next thing you know, the girl walks in covered in blood, smiles at the camera and the end! My Mom and I were laughing more than we were screaming! Does anyone have suggestions for a scary movie, without blood, that is actually scary?
